Emerge: Oops…life! is a black comedy about three women who witness a violent incident on the street, which forces them to confront traumas from their own lives.

The work is not a survival story, but above all an observation of how absurd life itself can be, and how lived experience is reflected in us—both in good ways and in bad. Suddenly, a small thing can also shatter a glass ceiling that has been built over many years.

Emerge: Oops…life! is inspired by post-Carmen. What kinds of stories do we want to tell on stage, and from whose perspective are they written?

This work offers a social commentary on womanhood from both the male gaze and the female gaze, combining episodic storytelling, time as both a musical and performative element, and cinematic video storytelling on the theatre stage.
